to another. Registries help assure that a particular dog is really what it appears to be, both in reality and on paper.
The American Pit Registry (A.P.R.) was founded to enable breeders and owners to have a simplified registration
process for American Pit Bull Terriers. Many registries require an extensive pedigree only from accepted
associated registries. But for a new breeder or owner of the American Pit Bull Terrier, fulfilling this requirement
may be difficult or impossible. The American Pit Registry (A.P.R.) will register a good specimen of the breed with a
3-generation pedigree and maintain records on future generations. All Champions, Grand Champions, and
Register of Merit titles are listed on the pedigree and registration certificate. Registering with American Pit
Registry (A.P.R.) will increase the pitbull's value and also facilitate dual registration.
**Note: The initials of CH, GR CH, and ROM will only appear on the pedigree and certification after research and
approval.
